One Direction first conquered The X Factor stage in 2010 when Simon Cowell grouped them together. They gave fans some iconic behind-the-scenes video diaries during their time on the show where they opened up about everything from first kisses to the weirdest dreams they’ve had. In a blast from the past, The X Factor is taking a look back at One Direction’s video diaries where they answered fan questions and showed off their goofy side.
One Direction Had Some Iconic Video Diaries On ‘The X Factor’
This week, The X Factor is celebrating chapter five of One Direction’s video diaries. Louis Tomlinson had a late entrance to this video diary as he came down the stairs with a garbage can lid on his head. Harry Styles began to speak about what he hoped for the group to achieve with their next performance, but all eyes were on the jokesters Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis in the background. They answered some fan questions including what superpower they would like to have. Louis said he would fly while Liam opted for invisibility. Zayn Malik said his superpower would be to stay young forever and Harry said it would have to be time travel. At one point in the video, Louis pretended he was asleep. He was and is still genuinely hilarious and never fails to make us laugh.
But thankfully one fan asked the group the burning question that has always been on everyone’s minds, what each boy’s first kiss was like. Zayn gave us some tea about his first kiss saying the girl was so tall and he had to stand on a brick to reach her lips. In the week prior, they were asked whether or not the media and female attention was getting to their heads. They all agreed that female attention was very strange and weird because they are all just normal people at the end of the day. We all know to this day they have still gotten tons of attention from female fans and it definitely will not be stopping anytime soon.
Fans Are Loving This Re-Released Video Diaries Footage
After celebrating One Direction’s 10th anniversary on July 23, the nostalgia and memories of some of the group’s best moments have been stronger than ever. People have been loving that The X Factor is putting out these video diaries again and it really does transport us back to 2010 while watching them. One fan on Twitter said, “I’ve been on YouTube for 6 hours straight watching nothing but One Direction video diaries, moments, interviews and music videos… I miss it so much.”
The fan love kept on coming and everyone is falling in love with the group all over again.
One Twitter user even suggested that One Direction should make video diaries again. The likelihood of that happening now is rather slim since they announced their hiatus in 2016. However all of the members, aside from Zayn who let the group in 2015 expressed how grateful they were for 10 years of One Direction.
