Former The Four star Meghan Trainor shared the sweetest Father’s Day tribute to her dad Gary Trainor over the weekend. In addition to posting a few old photos on Instagram, she also uploaded an adorable home video.

This year’s Father’s Day tribute from Meghan is particularly special, as her father recovered from an accident earlier this year. Check out Meghan’s heartfelt social media posts below.

Meghan Trainor’s Home Video Tribute To Her Dad

In the clip Meghan posted on Sunday, she and her brother Ryan are riding bikes outside. She bumps the back of Ryan’s bike, and the pair argue over which of them is their father’s best friend.

“Don’t talk to me, I’m going to be his best friend, and not your best friend,” Meghan tells Ryan, who responds by saying, “I like Daddy. I’m his best friend.” Meghan then shouts, seemingly to their dad, “I’m your best friend too!”

“The sasssss and jealousyyy haahha,” Meghan wrote in the video’s caption. “Just wanted to be my dads best friend.” She also tagged her dad Gary’s Instagram account in the post.

Meghan’s Dad Recovers From Car Accident

In February of this year, Meghan’s father was hit by a car in Los Angeles when he was crossing the street. He was brought to the hospital with non-life threatening-injuries, and Meghan was by his side, calling the incident “scary” but saying her dad was “the strongest man I know.”

On Sunday, Meghan posted several old photos of her with her dad, calling him her “best friend and biggest inspiration.” (Looks like she got her wish from childhood.) She also included a clip of her singing “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from Mickey’s 90th Spectacular, with her dad on the piano.
