WATCH ‘Masked Dancer’ Contestant Suffer A Dangerous Fall On Stage But Is It Real?
The Masked Dancer hasn’t even premiered yet, and there’s already drama. In the trailer for the new Fox show, a contestant takes a scary fall during their performance.
The show, which is a spin-off of The Masked Singer, features ten masked celebrities showing off their dance skills on stage. It sounds like this version of the franchise will be a lot more dangerous!
Is The ‘Masked Dancer’ Fall Real Or A Stunt Double?
At one point in the trailer for The Masked Dancer, the video makes it clear that there are “zero stunt doubles” being used for the performances. This is highlighted by a shot of the Cotton Candy falling from a raised hoop while doing an aerial trick.
The judges stand up in shock while someone offscreen can be heard saying, “Medic! Can we get a medic? She’s on the ground.” The Cotton Candy lies face-down on the stage while people run over to her.
Of course, we don’t know yet who is under that costume, although we hope she’s okay. This just goes to show how much more dangerous The Masked Dancer can be, compared to its singing counterpart.

The Masked Dancer is hosted by Craig Robinson, and the judging panel features Ken Jeong, Paula Abdul, Ashley Tisdale, and Brian Austin Green. In the trailer, they can be seen guessing celebrities like Britney Spears and Fergie.
At one point, Ashley declares, “I know who is under that mask!” She also says one of the contestants has a stage presence belonging to to a “Broadway star.” We’re sure there will be some incredible reveals this season when the contestants remove their masks.
