WATCH Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Favorite’ Battle In This ‘Voice’ Sneak Peek
NBC The Voice battle rounds are starting in Monday’s new episode. Luckily, we don’t have to wait until the show airs to get a taste of the performances. The show released a sneak peek of a battle on Team Nick.
In the clip, Joanna Serenko and Roderick Chambers perform a duet of “When the Party’s Over” by Billie Eilish. It received high praise from the coaches, especially Kelly Clarkson.
‘The Voice’ Battle: Joanna Vs. Roderick
Joanna Serenko is an 18-year-old singer from St. Louis, Missouri. She turned all four coaches’ chairs in her blind audition to the Beatles’ “All My Loving.” Joanna chose to join Nick Jonas’ team.

Roderick Chambers is a 38-year-old singer from California who performed Brian McKnight’s “Back at One” in his blind audition. Nick was the only coach to turn his chair, so Roderick automatically joined his team.
It might seem imbalanced to pit a four-chair turn against a one-chair turn. But remember that last year’s Voice winner, Jake Hoot, was a one-chair turn. Nobody in this competition should be underestimated.
Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Favorite’ Battle So Far
All four coaches gave Joanna and Roderick a standing ovation for their battle. “Beautiful!” declared John Legend. Kelly, meanwhile called it her “favorite battle thus far.”

“That was effortless and beautiful and passionate,” Kelly said, before turning to Nick and saying, “Wow, first-time coach!” She added that she felt sorry for him, as he has to choose which artist moves on.
John praised Nick’s “good coaching.” Nick commented on Roderick’s “growth” and called Joanna a “flawless singer.” We’ll have to wait until Monday night’s show to find out who won this battle. Who would you choose?
