Watch All The Amazing Covers Kelly Clarkson Performed On Her Meaning Of Life Tour

Is it really a Kelly Clarkson concert if she doesn’t cover a song by another amazing artist? The singer just finished up her Meaning of Life tour, with cameos from several famous Voice faces along the way.
If you’re jealous that you couldn’t make it to one of her concerts, the good news is that Kelly regularly went live on Facebook during her tour stops for a segment she calls “A Minute + a Glass of Wine.” During these live shows, she usually performed a cover of a song she loves.
We saved you the work and rounded up all the awesome covers Kelly performed on her tour, from Cardi B to Reba McEntire.
Cardi B, Post Malone, & Lauryn Hill
At a recent concert in Uniondale, NY, Kelly performed a mash-up of Cardi B’s “Be Careful,” Post Malone’s “Better Now,” and Lauryn Hill’s “Ex Factor.” Her seamless mix of the tracks shows her admiration for the artists while still making it her own.
Brandi Carlile, “The Joke”
“I hope I do it justice, Brandi,” Kelly said before performing this song in Detroit. We’d say she definitely did. Several Brandi Carlile fans even took the time to comment on the video saying she did an amazing job.
Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper, “Shallow”
You knew this had to happen, right? The song from A Star Is Born has been a huge hit, and Lady Gaga recently won her first Oscar for writing it. Kelly chose to share her own rendition in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The cover shows off just how impressive her range is (but we already knew that).
Robyn, “Dancing On My Own”
Kelly put her own spin on this modern pop classic in Dallas by slowing things down and turning it into more of a ballad. She may have forgotten the lyrics at one point, but she still totally slayed.
Ariana Grande, “God Is A Woman”
Kelly’s voice already makes us believe God is a woman, and her cover of Ariana’s song only convinces us even more. She performed the track in Kansas City, Missouri, telling the audience that she’s been wanting to sing it for a while.
Miranda Lambert, “Tin Man”
Kelly showed off her country side by covering this song on her first tour stop in Oakland. “She’s one hell of a writer,” she said of Miranda, adding that she bawled when she first heard the song.
Patsy Cline, “Crazy”
Kelly has us wanting her to record a country album with all these covers! For now, we’ll settle on listening to her cover some classics. She said she’s known this one since she was a kid, but hadn’t sung it anywhere but in the car before.
Blake Shelton, “Boys ‘Round Here”
When she came to Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kelly decided to cover her fellow Voice coach Blake Shelton. However, she changed things up a bit by making his “guy talk” song into one about girls.
Shawn Mendes, “In My Blood”
In Chicago, Kelly said she had met Shawn Mendes when she hosted the Billboard Music Awards, and he was “so nice.” She said that whenever she hears this song in the car, she can’t help but sing along. We’re so glad she took that tradition onto the stage.
Chainsmokers & Coldplay, “Something Just Like This”
Kelly told Wichita, Kansas, that she’s been obsessed with Coldplay since “Yellow,” and her daughter loves them too. She said she’s been wanting to cover this song “forever.” With her voice and a piano backing, the song sounds brand new.
Billie Eilish, “idontwannabeyouanymore”
During her stop in Fresno, Kelly invited Season 15 Voice contestant Lynnea Moorer on stage to perform with her. They showed off some amazing harmonies, and Kelly told Lynnea, “Please do not stop singing. You are a blessing, girl.”
Aretha Franklin, “The Weight”
In Glendale, Arizona, Kelly called Aretha Franklin “one of my favorite artists ever, possibly my favorite.” She said she’s loved this song since she was a kid. There’s a reason she performed at a recent Aretha Franklin tribute.
Amy Winehouse, “Valerie”
Kelly performed this song for St. Louis. Although she was sick at the time, she said the song choice was perfect, as it “sounds good when you’re sick, ’cause it’s kinda achy.” Coming from Kelly, we’re pretty sure it would sound good any time.
Khalid & Normani, “Love Lies”
Kelly said she was nervous to perform this song in Salt Lake City because she realized during rehearsal that her rhythm is “super white.” But we’re glad she decided to perform it anyway, because it was pretty great.
Lauryn Hill, “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”
Kelly dedicated this song (originally by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons) to her husband Brandon Blackstock. As she told the crowd in Southaven, Mississippi, she thought when she first saw him, “Oh my God, I’m so in love. How do I get to know that?”
Labrinth, “Jealous”
“Jealous” is an appropriate title, because Kelly told the crowd in Grand Rapids that she wishes she had written this song. “It’s not like your normal, formulaic song, and I think that’s beautiful,” she said.
Sam Smith & Normani, “Dancing With A Stranger”
Kelly told Allentown, Pennsylvania, that Sam and Normani inspire her to “keep making music.” She added that “if reincarnation exists, I just want to come back like Normani.”
Patty Griffin, “Nobody’s Crying”
In Boston, Kelly shared that Patty Griffin is her “favorite singer-songwriter.” She chose to perform her favorite of Patty’s songs, which she said she was afraid of messing up. As expected, she had nothing to worry about.
Foy Vance, “Make It Rain”
Voice winner Brynn Cartelli has been touring with Kelly, and she recently performed a cover with her in Uncasville, Connecticut. The pair sounded amazing together.
Aerosmith, “Don’t Want To Miss A Thing”
Kelly told Baltimore that she’s a big Aerosmith fan, so it was perfect that she chose to sing their iconic song from Armageddon. Her acoustic version put a new spin on the tune.
Lauren Daigle, “You Say”
On another night in Uncasville, Kelly welcomed former Voice contestant Kymberli Joye to the stage. Kelly said she’s “obsessed” with her, and praised her song choice for their duet.
U2 & Mary J. Blige, “One”
In Cleveland, Kelly performed the version of U2’s “One” featuring Mary J. Blige. She said she liked that these artists came from different genres, but they both influenced her.
“Always Remember Us This Way,” Lady Gaga
Kelly brought former Voice contestant Abby Cates out on stage in Cincinnati. They sang another Lady Gaga song from A Star Is Born, and Kelly made sure to give Abby her time to shine on it.
“Rise Up,” Andra Day
Kelly said she couldn’t get through this song without crying during rehearsal in Indianapolis. “It’s such a moving song,” she said before starting her powerhouse performance.
Medley by Reba McEntire
Kelly brought out her mother-in-law Reba McEntire to perform in Nashville. They sang Kelly’s song “Because of You,” and then moved on to Reba’s songs “Can’t Even Get the Blues, “Fancy,” “Is There Life Out There,” and “Freedom.”
“Time After Time,” Cyndi Lauper
For her last concert in Greenville, SC, Kelly let her opening act Kelsea Ballerini choose the cover song. She picked “Time After Time” by Cyndi Lauper, and the ladies performed an amazing duet.
