Federica La Pondi auditions for “Italia’s Got Talent.”

Dancer Twerks To Mozart On ‘Italia’s Got Talent’

Federica started her audition wearing a white wig and a blazer, which she removed when she sat down at the piano. Her back was facing the judges, who looked confused about what Federica was about to do.

The 27-year-old didn’t actually play the piano. Instead, she started twerking in time with the music. Judge Nina Zilli buzzed the act, while Frank Matano stood up and clapped.

Federica eventually stood up from the piano and delivered some even more intense twerking moves, sparking applause from the audience. When she was done, she closed the piano and took a bow.

What Did The Judges Think Of This Performance?

Nina Zilli, who buzzed the act, voted no to sending Federica through to the next round. However, her fellow judges were impressed with the performance. Federica earned three “yes” votes to move on.

Federica later said in an interview that the audition “went better than I could have expected,” adding that she earned more followers on social media and views on her videos after the TV appearance.

You can follow Federica La Pondi on YouTube, where she posts twerk performances and tutorials. She’s even been teaching dance classes via Zoom during the pandemic. Check out her twerk performance to Beyoncé in the above video.
