Gwen Stefani In Tears On ‘The Voice’

Before her performance, Rose and Gwen Stefani talked about the song’s message of finding love. Rose said she hoped to find a love like her parents’ one day, but also shared how important self-love is.

“Once you deal with how perfectly flawed you are, and accept it, it’s a feeling like no other,” she said. “The Voice has literally changed my life.”

Rose was accompanied by two guitarists during her performance. She wore a sequined dress and showed off her powerful vocals to the crowd’s applause. All four coaches gave her a standing ovation.

Gwen Stefani was already crying as the performance finished. When host Carson Daly asked for her opinion, she said she wasn’t “ready,” as she wiped away tears. “That was unbelievable,” she said. “I am so in awe of you. I am so honored to work with you.” She then asked the show to “cut the cameras” as she continued to weep.

Rose Short Talks About Gwen As A Coach

Kelly Clarkson jumped in after Gwen’s critique to tell Rose that she is a “gift.” This response from the coaches brought Rose to tears as well. Afterward, as Carson cut to commercial, Gwen walked up to hug Rose.

After the show, Talent Recap spoke to Rose about her performance, and what Gwen Stefani is like as a coach. She said Gwen has been “checking on” her behind the scenes and “making sure I’m good.”

“That really, to me, meant more than anything. For her to say, ‘Let me check on my girl real quick.’ She’s amazing,” Rose said, adding that the connection between them that viewers see is real. “I really love that lady.”

Could Rose be the first artist to win The Voice on Team Gwen? We’ll find out soon whether America will send her to the finale or not. Who do you think will win The Voice?
