Ryan said the news just came into them, congratulating her. Gabby fell back on the couch and clapped her hands. “That’s such good news, thank you,” she said, before performing the song with Cade on guitar.

“I Hope” made it to No. 1 on the country chart, and Gabby released another version with pop star Charlie Puth. She’s since released her debut album Goldmine and is nominated for an ACM Award for New Female Artist of the Year.

Gabby Talks About Finding Love With Cade On ‘Idol’

During the interview with Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Ripa, Ryan (who hosts American Idol) said he thought it might have been love and first sight between Gabby and Cade. Gabby said it wasn’t, but “it definitely came with time.”
