US President Donald Trump welcomed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Houston city’s NRG stadium today for the “Howdy, Modi” rally hosted by Hindu nationalist and Modi supporters in the United States. It had both the country heads live for the world to see and our girl from American Idol, Alyssa Raghu performed!
As the crowd chanted “USA, USA”, the US President addressed Modi and said, he is “doing a truly exceptional job for India”.
“We are proud to have you as Americans. We thank you, we love you, and my administration is fighting for you every day,” Donald Trump said.
“We are committed to protecting innocent civilians from radical Islamic terrorism,” said Trump, prompting a round of applause from the audience — including Modi himself, who stood up from his seat.

Our girl, Alyssa Raghu, who was part of the American Idol sang the American anthem and we couldn’t be prouder. Katy Perry loved her on American Idol and even called her “my sauce,” remember anyone? Alyssa Raghu From American Idol Is Of Indian Dissent
Alyssa Raghu was seen on American Idol ABC Season 1 (2018) and American Idol ABC Season 2 (2019). She was voted by America into the Top 8. Alyssa’s father, Hansraj Raghunandan, is of Indian descent with his parents from Guyana. Alyssa’s mother, Brenda Amillano, is of Mexican descent and she was the perfect blend to sing the national anthem.
Sparsh Shah Sang India’s National Anthem
The Indian national anthem was sung by 16-year-old Sparsh Shah. He is of Indian-origin, born with a rare medical condition known as osteogenesis imperfecta’ or brittle bone disease AT THE “Howdy Modi”. Shah is a rapper, singer, songwriter and inspirational speaker from New Jersey, US.
