Season 11 AGT winner Grace VanderWaal continues to evolve as an artist. She has a new EP out, and recently performed the song “I Don’t Like You” live on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Grace, who turns 16 in January, is also sporting a new look these days. Gone are the girly dresses and simple bob haircut we came to know during her time on the Got Talent stage. She’s looking a bit edgier now, but her talent is just as timeless.
Grace VanderWaal Performs “I Don’t Like You” Live
Last month, Grace appeared on James Corden’s show to perform her song “I Don’t Like You.” Before the performance, she chatted with James from her dressing room. Grace was sporting some cool braids and long acrylic nails, along with an oversize jacket.
Later, she performed on a moody, red-lit living room set. Grace danced around barefoot and sat on the couch while she sang. At one point, she even stood on a chair. It’s a far cry from her sweet ukulele performances on AGT.
Grace Has A New EP Out Called ‘Letters: Vol. 1’
Grace VanderWaal recently released a new EP called Letters: Vol. 1. It features the songs “I Don’t Like You,” “Ur So Beautiful,” and “Waste My Time,” among others. You can listen to it on Spotify.
The EP shows off a new sound from Grace. She revealed last year that she thought she had finished her new EP while on tour, but decided to throw it all out instead of releasing it. She explained, “I hate all of my songs, so I’m starting over.”
We hope Grace feels more confident about this new batch of songs, because we’re definitely enjoying them.
