Brian Justin Crum is one of the most memorable contestants in America’s Got Talent history. The singer appeared on Season 11 of the show, wowing the judges and audience with his powerful voice.
This week, Brian further proved just how talented he is by releasing a new cover of Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing.” Check out the incredible performance in the video below.
Brian Justin Crum Covers Whitney Houston
In the new video, Brian stands at the microphone to sing, while a guitarist and keyboardist, both wearing masks, back him up. The performance lasts for five minutes, as Brian belts out the iconic song, released in 1993 on the soundtrack for The Bodyguard.
In the video’s description, Brian wrote that he had been wanting to cover this song “for years.” He encouraged viewers to buy tickets to his upcoming show BJC:DIVA (available here), where he’ll be also be covering songs by Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, and Annie Lennox.
Brian’s fans loved this latest performance, and they made sure to share their positive feedback in the comments. “Yes. That is all. Just YES,” one person wrote. “Such a pure voice, and he makes it look so effortless!” another commented.
Brian’s Iconic ‘America’s Got Talent’ Journey
Brian Justin Crum had an amazing journey on AGT Season 11. He auditioned with a performance of Queen’s “Somebody to Love.” Brian shared that he was bullied in school, and received support from his mom.
Throughout the season, Brian performed powerhouse covers of songs like “Creep,” “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” and “Man in the Mirror.” He made it all the way to the finals, and finished the competition in fourth place.
