WATCH ‘AGT’ Magician’s Viral Tribute To Kobe Bryant Using Rubik’s Cube

Since former NBA player Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash this past Sunday, tributes have poured in all over social media. One of those tributes came from former AGT contestant Steven Brundage.
Steven spent 20 hours creating a portrait of Kobe out of Rubik’s cubes, which he uses in his magic act. The results will amaze you. Read on to find out what Steven plans to do with the portrait.
Steven Brundage Makes Kobe Bryant Tribute Out Of Rubik’s Cubes
Steven posted a photo of the finished product on social media Wednesday. It’s an incredible likeness, especially considering it’s only made from squares of primary colors. Steven said it took him 20 hours, and he even posted a sped-up process video to show how he did it.

Steven posted that he was planning to take the portrait to the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on Friday or Saturday, as that’s where Kobe’s LA Lakers play. He later shared his intention to auction the portrait off for charity.
Steven said he would donate the earnings from the auction to Kobe Bryant’s foundation. Kobe and his wife Vanessa started the Kobe & Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation to give scholarships and inspire young athletes. Former teammate Shaquille O’Neal has also pledged to donate.

Steven Brundage competed on Season 11 of America’s Got Talent. At his audition, he told the judges that he’s the “only person in the world” who does Rubik’s cube magic.

He wowed the audience when he put an unsolved Rubik’s cube in a bag and pulled it out completely solved. He also matched the pattern on a Rubik’s cube that Simon Cowell mixed up.
