WATCH 50 Cent Choose Tekashi 69 Over His Own Son, Who He Won’t Care About Even If He ‘Got Hit By A Bus’
There has never been a shortage of family drama between rapper 50 Cent and his eldest son Marquise Jackson. The two have just never really been able to get along. When the rapper was asked recently on Instagram live about whether or not he had seen his son Marquise, 50 said he would choose Tekashi 6ix9ine over his biological son.
During the Instagram live session 50 said that his “son” was Tekashi 6ix9ine who has recently been released from prison due to the coronavirus pandemic. “No, I ain’t heard from 6ix9ine. He’s his mother’s child now. He told on everybody,” 50 Cent said. “He’s better than Marquise though,” he said while laughing.
The Feud Between 50 Cent And His Son Started Over A Decade Ago
The pair have had a rocky relationship since Marquise was 10 years old. It stems from the rough relationship between 50 and Marquise’s mother, Shaniqua Tompkins. Tompkins previously sued the rapper for $50 mil after she claims he promised to financially provide for her. The suit was tossed in 2009. Since that time, 50 and Marquise who is now 22 years old have not been getting along. In June 2019, 50 made comments that Marquise was not his son after he was pictured at one of his concerts. Marquise attended the show and even shared a video of the concert on social media. People on social media wondered why 50 did not bring his son backstage. The rapper replied, “I got a blood test that’s not my kid f*** outta here.”
The rapper even once wrote that he hoped his son got hit by a bus after Marquise posted a photo with Kenneth McGriff’s son. McGriff and 50 have been longtime enemies. 50 never even met McGriff’s son in person so the comment was not taken lightly. Marquise claimed he did not know their fathers had beef when the picture was taken.
Marquise Posted A Response Video To His Fathers Comments
Marquise did not remain silent while his father recently talked smack about him. He posted a video on his Instagram story responding to his father’s harsh comments.
“I ain’t get a chance to hop in the most gangsterest live ever, but everybody tagged me in it. Here it goes right here, let’s see what he said,” said Marquise in the video before watching his father’s video. “Did he just say he would claim a rat?” Marquise laughed to himself as he heard his father say Tekashi 6ix9ine is his son. He is literally referring to Tekashi as a rat.
Marquise continued “Aw nah, I don’t want no parts of that cheese y’all eating over there, big fella. I don’t know what y’all got going on. I don’t know what y’all got going on over there.” He added, “That’s some other sh*t.”
Tekashi 6ix9ine Was Recently Released From Prison
It’s been about a week since rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was released from prison. He suffers from asthma which would put him at a greater risk of dying if he caught coronavirus. Tekashi was supposed to be released in August after being convicted on racketeering charges. He has become the center of internet memes calling him a snitch, which is why Marquise was quick to call him a rat.
The rapper even recently changed his Instagram profile picture to a claymation version of himself in an orange prison jumpsuit eating a piece of cheese. He is also sitting on a mousetrap. It is obviously a playful jab at the people who have called him a snitch or a rat.
Marquise has also dabbled in the music scene with his own rap career and his song, “Different,” features the line “Lost my pops, he’s still alive.” There clearly are some underlying issues between him and his father. What do you think about 50 Cent’s comments? Are they too harsh?
