Reuben Gray Shared A Original Song And Got A Surprise On ‘Britain’s Got Talent’

Reuben began playing piano when he was seven and began writing songs at the age of 10. He talked about how his father was not present at his audition because he was away working. He was in the army which led to him being deployed overseas a lot and then took a job in security which also meant more traveling. Reuben named his dad as one of his biggest supporters. Reuben brought his mom and his girlfriend to his Britain’s Got Talent audition to support him. Simon Cowell asked who his biggest supporter was and he said his dad. This prompted his dad to stand up in the audience and say “Yes I am.” Reuben thought his father was overseas at the time and had no idea he would be able to come to watch his audition.

He received a standing ovation after performing this song. “That was a great audition, Reuben. You come on and be authentic, be original, take risks, I really really like the song. You got talent, you really have” Simon said. He got four yes’s from the judges and moved on into the semifinals where he performed another original song. He was eliminated from the competition after Simon said he did not love the second original song as much as the first.
