Lydian Nadhaswaram Dominated The Competition On ‘The World’s Best’

Ever since a very young age, Lydian demonstrated a love for music which his father Varshan Sathish noticed. For his unforgettable performance on The World’s Best, Lydian performed “Flight Of The Bumblebee” by composer Rimsky Korsakov, a song notoriously known for being difficult to play. The judges RuPaul Charles, Drew Barrymore and Faith Hill were all completely blown away by how fast Lydian could play the piano. He received a score of 85 which propelled him into the next round.

He soared through the Battle Rounds and the Champion Rounds, even going head to head with America’s Got Talent singer Daneliya Tuleshova. At the finale, Lydian played two pianos at the same time with a medley of Beethoven’s “Fur Elise” and Chopin’s “Etude.” He received a standing ovation from the judges and the audience. He earned a score of 84, the highest of the night, and ultimately ended up winning the entire competition and $1 million.
