‘The Voice’ Wins Big At The Producers’ Guild Awards
Award season is in full swing and I’m pretty sure this last season of The Voice is going to win a lot of honors. The latest was from the Producers’ Guild Awards that was held over the weekend. The producer theme at The Voice won the award for best competition series. It is well deserved.
This past season, which ended with a win for Chloe Kohanski and team Blake, was one of the most successful in terms of reach and production in the history of the series. The producers have a big part to play in the success. After all, without them it’s just a show with Blake Shelton and Adam Levine bickering while Jennifer Hudson throws her shoes. The recipients of the awards were the producers including John de Mol, Mark Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Lee Metzger, Chad Hines, Amanda Zucker, Kyra Thompson, Jay Bienstock, Stijn Bakkers, Mike Yurchuk, Teddy Valenti, and Carson Daly.
There’s no doubt that a lot of time and work go into creating a show with as many moving parts as The Voice. It’s not easy and it comes off seamlessly. That’s the mark of a good production team, when you are wowed but you can’t see the puppeteer’s strings.
