‘The Voice’ Season 16’s Battle Advisors Are…
The Voice announced its Battle Advisors for next season today! And it includes some of the biggest names in music.
Here’s the show’s official announcement:
Joining the Season 16 coaches, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, and newcomer John Legend, will be Charlie Puth, Brooks & Dunn, Kelsea Ballerini, and Khalid! These are all pros who should be able to give some useful insight to the up-and-coming singers.
Adam Levine and Charlie Puth
Adam Levine has chosen Charlie Puth to be his Battles Advisor. This isn’t Charlie’s first time mentoring on The Voice! He was an advisor for Team Alicia in Season 11. The singer/songwriter/producer is best known for his hit songs “See You Again,” “One Call Away,” and “Attention.”
Blake Shelton and Brooks & Dunn
Coach Blake Shelton is staying in the Country Mafia for his Battles Advisor choice, Brooks & Dunn. The country music duo consists of Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn, both vocalists and songwriters. They have received 17 CMA Awards, 26 ACM Awatds, and 2 Grammy awards. Though they have not graced The Voice stage yet, their songs have been covered on the show many times before.
Kelly Clarkson and Kelsea Ballerini
Kelly’s Battle Advisor pick, Kelsea Ballerini, definitely isn’t new to The Voice family. Last season, she served as the “fifth coach” for the digital companion series, The Comeback Stage. So her being an Advisor for the upcoming season makes it look not promising that the series will come back in Season 16. Kelsea is a country pop singer and songwriter whose number one singles include “Love Me Like You Mean It,” “Dibs,” “Peter Pan,” and “Legends.”
John Legend and Khalid
Khalid is another newcomer to The Voice, as is the coach he will be advising for, John Legend. Khalid is an R&B/pop singer and songwriter. At only 20 years old, he has made quite a splash in the music scene! Two of his songs, “Location” and “Love Lies,” have charted on the Billboard Hot 100.
