Jennifer Lopez joined the lineup of artists singing at President Joe Biden’s Inauguration on Wednesday. The former American Idol judge sang “This Land Is Your Land” and “America, The Beautiful.” But, she randomly yelled “Let’s Get Loud” during her performance, a reference to her 1999 hit song. This led her to get roasted online with many claiming she wasn’t actually singing.

Twitter Roasted Jennifer Lopez For Inauguration Performance

Twitter is full of memes and gifs that joke that Ashanti was actually singing backstage while JLo was performing. The singers have a bit of a feud that stems from the fact that Ashanti sang some of the samples of songs that ended up being hit records for JLo. The song “I’m Real” which was released by JLo was allegedly supposed to be saved for Ashanti’s album. The track was already recorded with Ashanti’s vocals which you can actually still hear in JLo’s version of the song.

This has happened multiple times throughout Ashanti’s career where songs intended for her that she already recorded vocals on were handed off to JLo. Twitter took this information and ran with it, claiming that JLo was once again using Ashanti’s vocals to execute this live performance. “Y’all know that was somebody else voice on JLo mic,” wrote one person over on The Shade Room Instagram account.

Jennifer Shocked Everyone When She Spoke In Spanish And Screamed ‘Let’s Get Loud’

During the performance, JLo shocked everyone when she randomly screamed “Let’s get loud” which is a reference to her song of the same name. She followed that up by making a statement in Spanish. Twitter is currently in a frenzy just because that live television moment was very unexpected.

Twitter users shared their reactions to JLo’s performance. One person posted a hilarious picture of their cat who looked completely shocked while watching the performance.

Some could just simply not get over the fact that she fused the songs together.

Other’s felt like JLo was simply trying to market the song “Let’s Get Loud” after it first became a hit over 20 years ago.

One Twitter user wanted to discuss the big “Let’s Get Loud” moment during the performance. “Like…who was that for?” she wrote. One Twitter user replied saying that it was a special message to the Latinx communities to fight for representation.

The pair are inseparable as they wait to get married amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. There is nothing wrong with having a supportive partner!
