If there’s one thing most BGT contestants want to avoid, it’s the dreaded red buzzer. For Luca Calò, however, he actually got two of the judges to take back their buzzers once they saw his whole audition.

Luca’s performance started off with him singing, but it turned into something completely different. It just goes to show that sometimes you have to be patient before totally writing off an auditioning contestant.

The 23-year-old, who is originally from Italy, touted himself as a singer, saying he’d been working on his talent for a year and a half. He walked out on stage wearing high-heel boots and said he just wanted to “make people happy” with his talent.

SIMON STOPS THIS ‘BGT’ SINGER MID-SONG … THEN HE EARNS THE GOLDEN BUZZER

He started off by singing “Beautiful” by Christina Aguilera, earning boos from the BGT audience. Simon Cowell was the first to hit his red buzzer, with Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden following soon after.

That’s when Luca’s audition totally changed. He started dancing, showing off his twerking skills and even falling into a split at the end. All the while, he balanced on his sky-high heels. “That is classic Britain’s Got Talent!” an audience member remarked.

What Did The Judges Think Of Luca’s Performance?

Alesha, Amanda, and David Walliams were so shocked by Luca’s audition, they got out of their seats. “I’m not sure what just happened,” Simon commented, while David asked Luca if his he hurt himself when he did the split. He said he was fine.

Amanda and Alesha ended up taking their buzzers away, while Simon decided to leave his. Luca got three “yes” votes from David, Alesha, and Amanda, but a “no” from Simon.

After performing, Luca told hosts Ant and Dec that he would keep singing as part of the act. He kept that promise when he returned for the BGT semifinals. This time, he had backup dancers. Unfortunately, he wasn’t voted through to the next round.

Luca later competed on Georgia’s Got Talent, and he released a song called “Flip Over” in 2017. He continues to rock high heels, so follow him on Instagram to see more.
