There Was A Shooting Outside Taylor Swift’s New York Home
GettyImages A shooting was reported outside Taylor Swift’s New York townhouse on Sunday. The bullets were fired during an army robbery at a nearby shop, according to NYPD.
This is apparently the second shooting on this block in Tribeca in a month. Read on to find out more about the incident, as well as details about Taylor’s home.
Shooting Outside Taylor Swift’s Home
The shooting reportedly occurred on Sunday at about 5 p.m. Four shots were fired during a robbery at Patron of New York, but no one was injured. Police are looking for three suspects who fled eastbound.
“Suddenly we heard four shots and I was freaked out,” a server at a nearby restaurant told the New York Post. “I saw people at the scene run. They look scared and jumped into a car.”

Another resident said, “It’s really concerning to see two gun-related crimes happen at the same place within a month. It’s a family neighborhood, and I choose safety over access to fancy sneakers every time.”
Police say two of the suspects were wearing jeans and white T-shirts, while the third was wearing jeans and a blue T-shirt. Cops apparently recovered several shell casings at the scene.
When Did Taylor Buy Her New York House?
Taylor reportedly purchased the townhouse in 2017 for $18 million. She also owns three apartments next door, spending almost $50 million in total on properties on this block.

Those properties include an 8,000-square-foot penthouse duplex that she bought for $19.95 million in 2014, from Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson. In 2018, Taylor also purchased a 3,540-square-foot unit on the block for $9.75 million in an off-market deal.
According to the New York Post, Taylor’s townhouse has a paparazzi-proof garage. The singer also owns a $17 million house in Rhode Island, where she hosts Fourth of July parties, and has other properties in Nashville and Beverly Hills.
