‘The X Factor UK’ Live Shows Deliver Awesome Performances

It was George Michael week at The X Factor UK, (which was much better than ‘Viva Latino’ week), and the contestants really brought their A-games. This week was much better than last week which was, let’s face it, a huge disappointment. The singers felt much more comfortable with the material and really stepped up to the challenge.
Rak-Su
Rak-Su singing George Michael’s Faith? I mean, how could you possibly go wrong. This performance was so perfect that even Simon was at a loss for words. These guys are real contenders for the crown.
Kevin Davy White
Even though Kevin and George Michael have very different voices, he really brought his brand of French soul that just killed it. I’ve always considered Michael to be primarily a soul and r&b singer and Kevin brought that out.
The Cutkelvins
The brother/sister act dedicated this performance to their late father and it did not disappoint. They got a standing ovation from the judges and the crowd. Well deserved.
Matt Linnen
I agree with Simon Cowell that this is the best performance Matt has done. Sharon still thinks he’s a bit insecure. I agree. There is still more to see with this guy.
Sean and Conor Price
Sean and Conor did my favorite George Michael song, Freedom 90. One word describes this performance: delightful. It’s like an Oreo. Delicious.
The Results
I’m sorry to say that Jack and Joel are going home. But they have such a good attitude that they acted like it was no big deal. Good luck, boys.
