So, the contestants have made it through the auditions. Normally, they could give a sigh of relief, but this is The X Factor we are talking about here. The auditions are just step one. This weekend we get the dreaded boot camp where the 50 acts that made it through auditions are put through the ringer of elimination.
This year they are bringing back the Wall of Songs in which dozens of song titles are placed on a giant scaffolding. The contestants then run and grab whatever song they want to sing. If more than one person chooses the same song, they have to perform together. The judges then eliminate them rapid fire. But if you make it past this bit you still have part two of the boot camp to get through. The ones who survived have to then sing in front of a crowd and the judges at Wembley Arena. Not a small club mind you, WEMBLEY ARENA!
Then if they make it past that they have to face the dreaded six chairs for a spot at the judge’s house. I’m glad I just have to write about this stuff and not actually do it because it sounds like a nightmare. Good luck, mates!
