‘The Voice’s’ DeAndre Nico’s Mom LASHES OUT At Coach Adam Levine

Even though The Voice has come to an end, we haven’t heard the last of contestant DeAndre Nico. Nico’s mom is in full mama bear mode and tells fans that Adam Levine ISN’T the coach he pretends to be.
Pastor Johnna Nico calls the Maroon 5 frontman out on his ways, saying Adam is nothing but a liar! OUCH.
In a YouTube video titled ‘The Voice Is Rigged’ by The Young Life, Pastor Johnna Nico lashes out in the comments. Spilling all the tea, sis wants people to know how it really went down behind the scenes. Apparently Adam is less than honest with the public about how he handled the DeAndre/ Reagan controversy.
Levine reportedly said, “It was a strange week but its over now.” Attempting to put the drama to rest Adam continued, “DeAndre’s my boy. I love him. We Talked.” According to Nico’s mom though…this “talk” never happened.

Speaking of Adams alleged lies, Pastor Nico wrote, “I’m DeAndre’s mother and Adam is a liar he didn’t speak with my son and no he’s not off the hook for being so hurtful and disrespect[ed] by him.” It sounds like dishonesty is Adams middle name when it comes to this situation.

Pastor Nico continues, “Adam publicly mishandled him and publicly humiliated him and I hate that Adam has not man up he has been able to do what he want[s] for to long and they just want to cover up his behavior.” DeAndre’s mom is addressing the elephant in the room…that NBC has swept this entire controversy under the rug.
To further prove Pastor Nico’s point of view DeAndre spoke to 12NewsNow and said, “It was just weird because I just felt like, not being rude, I just felt like he sold me out you know?” Fans are taking Nico’s side and believe Levine completely through him under the bus.
The result: fans want the Girls Like You singer to step down. Fans slammed Levine for his lack of respect for DeAndre.
We can all agree that Adam could’ve handled this situation differently. Sometimes, if you don’t have anything nice to say its better not to say anything at all. As far as a replacement, fans will have to hold out at least one more season. The Voice season 16 is in full swing, and hopefully Adam can redeem himself from this nightmare.
Unfortunately, DeAndre Nico and Reagan Strange were put at the center of this firestorm. This could’ve potentially distracted viewers from the talent that was right in front of them. Adam unknowingly started something that ultimately affected both DeAndre and Reagan.
The Voice coaches have such an influence over votes. Levine could’ve used his platform to uplift both contestants, but instead he chose another route. To make matters worse for Adam, Kelly Clarkson came to Nico’s defense. This just further proves how much of a saint the pop-princess is.
Hopefully Adam will take notes from his fellow colleagues for the upcoming season. Overall this show is about the contestants and their impeccable talent. The sooner Adam chooses to support ALL of his contestants the more fans will appreciate his expertise.
