According to the clip, the act responsible for Taylor’s emotional reaction is Hello Sunday, a duo of teenage girls. They’ll be going up against Alex Guthrie to keep their spot on Kelly Clarkson’s team.
“One performance will have Taylor in tears,” the narrator declares in the above preview. The singer can be seen wiping tears away from her eyes. “I’m fully crying,” Taylor says. “I don’t know why. It’s just really, really great.”
Kelly Clarkson appears shocked by Taylor’s reaction, as do Chelsea and Myla, the girls who make up Hello Sunday. We can’t wait to see what feedback Taylor gave them on their performance. She’s been a great mentor so far, offering the artists helpful advice about stage presence and emotion.
The Voice actually released a sneak peek of Hello Sunday’s performance against Alex in the new episode. They perform “Almost Is Never Enough” by Ariana Grande, versus Alex’s “I’m Not the Only One” by Sam Smith.
The girls show off some great harmonies and amazing range. Even Alex can’t help but look impressed afterward. Blake Shelton remarks that they get better with each performance, while John Legend praises them for their creative approach.
Kelly points out in her critique that Hello Sunday’s performance made Taylor cry, and that she said they were amazing for any age, not just 14. We’ll have to wait until the show airs to find out who Kelly chooses to keep on her team.
