‘The Voice’ Playoffs Recap: Top 20 Artists Battling As VOTING Begins

The Voice kicked off the Live Playoffs on Monday night, and it’s time to vote! The twenty remaining artists (five from each team) delivered solo performances in a jam-packed episode. Tonight’s vote will determine the first 12 artists to move on.

During Tuesday night’s results show, there will also be an Instant Save that will determine a wildcard artist to take the thirteenth spot in next week’s show. Which coach will have the most artists standing — Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Kelly Clarkson, or John Legend?

‘The Voice’: Vote In The Live Playoffs

You can use the Voice app or the show’s website to vote for your favorite artists. Voting is open until Tuesday morning at 7 AM ET. Check out all of the night’s performances below, and click through to vote for your favorites.

‘The Voice’: Vote For Team Blake

Ricky Duran

Ricky kicked off the show with a performance of “Small Town” by John Mellencamp on acoustic guitar. Gwen said he was one of the coaches’ favorites, and added that he looked like a star. Blake called Ricky a “great dude” and shared his hope that America votes him through.

Cali Wilson

Cali came through with a soulful rendition of Britney Spears’ “Toxic.” John said he enjoyed seeing something “unexpected” from her. Blake explained that Cali worked on that version of the song herself.

Gracee Shriver

Gracee, who Blake stole from Kelly last week, performed “American Honey” by Lady Antebellum. Kelly explained that Gracee was supposed to perform with a guitar, but had to give it up due to technical difficulties. She called her a “professional.” Blake said he was proud of how far she’s come.

Kat Hammock

Kat performed a sweet rendition of “God Only Knows” by the Beach Boys. Blake said America needs their “head examined” if they don’t vote Kat through tonight, calling her “unique.”

Ricky Braddy

Ricky wrapped up Team Blake’s performances by singing “Roll With It” by Steve Winwood. Blake complimented Ricky’s “energy” and “power,” pointing out that he knocked out one of his favorite country singers (Zach Bridges) to get this far.

Vote For Team Gwen

Rose Short

Rose kicked off Team Gwen’s performances with “What Have You Done For Me Lately” by Janet Jackson. Kelly stood up and said she couldn’t sit down, calling it “so sexy.” Gwen said she was “proud to know” Rose.

Kyndal Inskeep

Kyndal performed “10,000 Hours” by Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber. John said she has a “golden tone,” and shared that no one else in the competition sounds like her. Gwen said she and Kyndal have similar vibratos, but Kyndal’s is cooler.

Joana Martinez

Joana sang “You Can’t Stop the Girl” by Bebe Rexha. Her former coach Blake said he regretted letting her go. Gwen called her their “little girl” and said it was a perfect song choice for her.

Myracle Holloway

Myracle sang “Get Here” by Brenda Russell, famously sung by Oleta Adams. John said she made it her own, and Gwen said Myracle “seems so happy,” calling her performance “extraordinarily beautiful.”

Jake HaldenVang

Jake performed Adele’s “Turning Tables” on acoustic guitar. Kelly said his voice is “versatile” and praised his song choice. Gwen agreed, and called Jake’s performance “spectacular.”

Vote For Team Kelly

Shane Q

Shane performed “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” by Frankie Valli. Blake said there’s “no doubt” he’ll be on the show for a while, and praised him for singing “standards.” Kelly pointed out that Shane “can sing anything.”

Hello Sunday

This duo chose an appropriate song for their name, “Hello” by Adele. Gwen said she can’t believe they’re only 14, adding that she was “mesmerized” by their performance. Kelly said she couldn’t imagine doing this at their age.

Damali

Damali performed “You Say” by Lauren Daigle. John complimented her stage presence and how she tells the story of the song. Kelly said she continues to “blossom” with each performance.

Max Boyle

Max, who Kelly stole from John, performed “Falling Slowly” from Once. Kelly said she recorded his rehearsal and listened to it before she went to bed last night. She predicted he would go “all the way.”

Jake Hoot

Jake sang “You Lie” by Reba McEntire. Blake said it’s one of his favorite country songs, and told Jake he “knocked it out of the park.” Kelly complimented his range, and said she was relieved that he agreed to sing that song.

Vote For Team Legend

Khalea Lynee

Khalea performed “Love Like This” by Faith Evans. Gwen said she was “jealous” of both her outfit and her voice, calling her “cool.” John said Khalea has a “soulful, beautiful voice” and makes everything seem easy.

Alex Guthrie

Alex performed “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys. His former coach Kelly told John that he’s “lucky” to have him, saying he’s going to the finale. John told him it was beautiful “from beginning to end.”

Marybeth Byrd

Marybeth sang “Love Me Like You Do” by Ellie Goulding. Blake told Marybeth that her “voice soared.” John told her that she “shocked” him, calling her performance “head and shoulders above” what she’s done before.

Will Breman

Will performed a unique rendition of “Style” by Taylor Swift on guitar. Kelly said he “just won The Voice” with that performance. John told him he feels “lucky” to be able to work with him, and said it’s a “joy” to watch him sing.

Katie Kadan

Katie sang “Always Remember Us This Way” by Lady Gaga on the keyboard. John complimented her for showing “tender moments,” which he said people haven’t gotten to see from her so far.
