NBC

Reading Time: 4 minutes

This week on The Voice Season 17, the battles continued. This season’s advisors Normani, Will.i.am, Darius Rucker, and Usher joined coaches Kelly Clarkson, Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, and John Legend in helping the artists give their best performances.

Monday and Tuesday’s episodes also had a few steals and saves. Notably, Gwen Stefani hit her button three times to save artists on her team, but two of them chose to work with a different coach. Is this a bad sign for her team going forward?

‘The Voice’ Battles Continue

Jared Herzog vs. Will Breman (Team John)

Jared and Will performed “Treat You Better” by Shawn Mendes, which John said fit in their “vocal pocket.” Will said Jared is “intimidating,” because his style is closer to Shawn Mendes. However, John said it was “close” going into the battle. After the performance, he said “everybody stepped up” and that he was “so proud” to work with them. Ultimately, he chose Will as the winner.

He picked Ricky, but hit his button to save Marina. Kelly hit her button to steal her, but Marina chose to stay with Blake.

Kelly paired these two together because she thought Jake’s country vibe would mesh with Steve’s soulful voice.
