‘The Voice’ Knockouts Begin Next Week
Next week begins what many people believe to be the most intense and strategic round of The Voice: The Knockout Round. This is round in which the singers are pitted against someone else on their team to sing an individual song back to back. Then the coach chooses who wins. The coaches get one steal each to save someone and come up with the top 20.
As a guest coach the show is bringing in the one and only Kelly Clarkson. She’s going to be a coach next season any way when she replaces Miley Cyrus. I guess this is the show’s attempt to allow the fans to get to know her as a coach. In the clip above she doles out some tough love and just some, you know, love. She’s a good pick because her 3 Grammys and 25 million records sold came out of her winning that other singing competition show. You know the one.
It gives the singers something to aspire to. It’s a fact that, at least in the U.S., Kelly is one of the most successful singers to ever come out of a reality show. It’s hard to do much better. Besides J-Hud, of course. A Grammy is great but an Oscar?
