We’ve been wondering when the new season of The Voice is set to premiere, and now we finally have a date! The start of Season 19 was delayed this year, but we now know when we’ll see our favorite coaches again.

The Voice recently tweeted that the show will return on Monday, October 19, on NBC. Read on to find out what we can expect from this season of the show, including the coaching lineup.

‘The Voice’ Announces Premiere Date

The Voice usually premieres earlier in the season, but things were delayed this time. It was recently announced that American Ninja Warrior would be taking the talent show’s usual place on September 7.

Sources said The Voice wouldn’t be ready for its original premiere date, and that we could expect to see the new season “sometime later in the fall.” We now know that’s October 19.

Coach Blake Shelton tweeted his excitement about the news earlier this week, encouraging fans to retweet if they support Team Blake. The country star won last season with his contestant Todd Tilghman.

This season, Blake’s girlfriend Gwen Stefani will return to the show, replacing last season’s first-time coach Nick Jonas. Gwen has been a judge on-and-off for years now, but she’s never won. Maybe 2020 is her year?

How Will ‘The Voice’ Film During The Pandemic?

Obviously, the COVID-19 pandemic has affected how a lot of shows are filmed. Last season, The Voice finished the competition with artists performing remotely from their homes.

The show also brought the audition process online leading into this season. Hopefuls could attend virtual open calls to try out for the show remotely. It sounds like the audience will also be virtual this season.

According to Gold Derby, blind auditions for Season 19 were filmed in August at Universal Studios Hollywood. This is where America’s Got Talent has been filming its live shows in recent weeks. Fans could sign up to be in a “digital audience” for the show.

The Voice is apparently still in production, as Blake Shelton recently tweeted that he was on his way to film the show. We can’t wait to watch this season’s performances.
