Olivia Reyes (Team Legend)
This young singer’s friends signed her up for a casting audition for The Voice. Her best friend’s dad is Season 2 winner Jermaine Paul. She chose to sing “Falling” by Harry Styles for her blind audition. John Legend turned around first, followed by Gwen Stefani. Olivia chose to join Team Legend.
Sam Stacy (Team Blake)
This singer moved to Los Angeles from Lincoln, Nebraska. He performed “Fire and Rain” by James Taylor for his blind audition. It took until the end of the song, but Kelly, Blake, and Gwen all turned around for him. Kelly and Blake disagreed about whether Sam should go bigger or not. He chose to join Blake’s team.
Larriah Jackson (Team Gwen)
This 15-year-old singer has been performing since she was three years old. She was raised by her mom and her grandmother, and later met siblings she didn’t know she had. For her audition, she sang Mariah Carey’s version of “I’ll Be There” by the Jackson 5. Gwen was the only coach to turn, so Larriah automatically joined her team.
Payton Lamar (Team Blake)
This singer pursued music in Paris, where she lived with her husband last year. For her audition on The Voice, she sang “Never Alone” by Tori Kelly. Blake Shelton was the only coach to turn around, so Payton automatically joined his team.
Van Andrew (Team Gwen)
This singer has nine siblings. He moved to Nashville this year to pursue music. For his audition, he performed “Behind Blue Eyes” by The Who. Gwen and Blake turned around for him at the same time. Blake said he didn’t know what song he was singing, which prompted Gwen to criticize his pitch. Both Kelly and John supported Van picking Gwen, and he ended up choosing her. She made sure to gloat about it to Blake.
Tanner Gomes (Team Kelly)
This singer shared that his mom became addicted to opioids when he was a kid. For his audition, Tanner performed “Cowboys and Angels” by Dustin Lynch. Kelly turned around first, followed by Gwen and John. Gwen asked Blake why he didn’t turn around, and he said he has a lot of country artists on his team already. Tanner chose to join Team Kelly.
