‘The Voice’ Season 18 Finale: Star-Studded Performances + A Winner Is Crowned!

The Voice Season 18 came to a close with Tuesday night’s finale. The episode was unprecedented, as all of the performers, contestants, and coaches appeared remotely from separate locations.


The show opened with a performance from the four coaches and the Top 9 contestants, along with former coaches CeeLo Green, Bebe Rexha, and Shakira. They performed “Let My Love Open the Door” by Pete Townshend, all from different places.

‘The Voice’ Finale Performances

The Jonas Brothers With Karol G

Coach Nick Jonas appeared with his brothers Kevin and Joe, as well as singer Karol G, to sing their new song “X.” The stars appeared on moving cell phone screens during the funky performance.

Todd Tilghman & Blake Shelton

Todd performed “Authority Song” by John Mellencamp with his coach Blake Shelton. Thanks to the power of technology, it looked like Blake and Todd were performing against the same flashy background.

John Legend Sings ‘Conversations In the Dark’ & ‘All Of Me’

John sat down at the piano and surprised a group of health care workers with a medley of his songs to say thank you for everything they’re doing during the current pandemic.

Lady Antebellum

This country band passed along a red cup and played virtual beer pong as they performed their new song “Champagne Night.”

Thunderstorm Artis & Nick Jonas

Thunderstorm performed “You’ll Be In My Heart” from Tarzan with his coach Nick Jonas. The heartfelt performance featured black and white backgrounds covered in a smoke effect.

Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani

Current coach Blake joined former coach (and girlfriend) Gwen Stefani for a duet of their song “Nobody But You.” The performance also paid tribute to volunteers for Feeding America.

CammWess & John Legend

CammWess joined his coach John Legend for a performance of “Rocket Man” by Elton John. The pair performed with virtual spotlights over them.

Kelly Clarkson Sings ‘I Dare You’

Coach Kelly Clarkson delivered a performance of her new song “I Dare You” themed to the current coronavirus pandemic. Behind her, images relating to the current crisis (and how we’re handling it) appeared in a montage. Kelly even sang in multiple languages!

Toneisha Harris & Blake Shelton

Toneisha joined her coach Blake for a performance of “Don’t Stop” by Fleetwood Mac. Even though they had to appear from different locations (as well as the band members), they made it sound seamless.

Micah Iverson & Kelly Clarkson

Micah joined his coach Kelly Clarkson for a performance of “I Run to You” by Lady Antebellum. The virtual duet featured brightly colored effects.

Former ‘Voice’ Contestants Come Together

Contestants from previous seasons of the show, including last year’s winner Jake Hoot, joined together for a performance of “What the World Needs Now Is Love” from their own homes.

Nick Jonas Sings ‘Until We Meet Again’

Nick delivered an outdoor performance of “Until We Meet Again,” in honor of those working on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic. Nick sang in a field, while holding up signs with positive messages. His wife Priyanka Chopra also made an appearance.

Bon Jovi Performs ‘Limitless’

The rock band, fronted by Jon Bon Jovi, performed their new song “Limitless.” All of the band’s members appeared from different locations.

Who Is ‘The Voice’ Season 18 Winner?

Before announcing the winner of Season 18 at the end of The Voice finale, Carson Daly revealed the artists who came in fifth and fourth place. Fifth place was Micah Iverson, while CammWess came in fourth.

That means the winner of The Voice this season is … Todd Tilghman on Team Blake! This is Blake Shelton’s first win since Season 13 with Chloe Kohanski.
