The Internet Reacts To Julianne Hough’s ‘AGT’ Hair Choice And So Does She
NBC AGT judge Julianne Hough clearly doesn’t mind poking fun at herself — and her hair. The dancer went for an extra curly style in this week’s new Judge Cuts episode, and she posted a few funny comparisons on Instagram.
“Is it me, or is it…” Julianne wrote in the caption. The post features side-by-side photos of Julianne with Dolly Parton, Danny DeVito on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, “Lady Marmalade”-era Christina Aguilera, and even a Cabbage Patch doll.

All jokes aside, Julianne was clearly feeling herself with that hairstyle, since she posted a photo earlier in the day crediting hairstylist Riawna Capri and writing, “I think we’ll call this look, SlAy-G-T!”
Julianne also confirmed on Twitter that the look was a wig, writing, “Yes, that’s my real hair. Or is it?” She accompanied this with a GIF of her saying, “No!”

What Did Viewers Think?
Wig or no wig, the internet had plenty of opinions about the look, and most of them were negative. Check out our YouTube community comments for some good ones and of course Twitter. One Twitter user told her to fire her hairdresser, while another viewer said her husband didn’t even recognize Julianne with the new look.
There was of course a comparison to Monica’s humidity hair on Friends, and one user even asked if she went to a dog groomer to get the style. But perhaps the most extreme reaction came from the viewer who tweeted at Simon Cowell asking him to intervene.
At the end of the day, people may not have liked Julianne’s look, but the funniest comments about it came from the woman herself. And there’s nothing quite like beating the haters to the punch.
It’s not the first time Julianne has poked fun at herself on social media. Back in May, she was hit in the neck by Paula Abdul’s hat at the Billboard Music Awards, and posted a photo pretending to wear a neck brace. It turned out to just be a towel.
