‘The Four’ Winner Evvie McKinney Announces Pregnancy & Baby Update [VIDEO]

Evvie McKinney, the winner of season one of The Four: Battle for Stardom is pregnant and expecting her first child with her husband Everett Anderson. She gave her 10-week pregnancy update in a sweet YouTube video where she was absolutely gushing. Readers of this site fondly remember when Evvie burst onto the musical scene and her epic battles with Zhavia on ‘The Four’. Evvie McKinney Is Pregnant With Her First Child

The newlyweds Evvie and Everett got married earlier this year on July 17, 2020. He is already the father of 5-year-old Winter, a daughter from a previous relationship. Evvie opened up about being a first-time mom in her video and marveled at how the baby is growing every day. The baby at 10 weeks is at the length of 1.25 inches which is about the length of the tip of a thumb or the length of a bottle cap.

“One of the craziest things about pregnancy and it still just gets me to this day is the baby’s heart starts beating around five to six weeks, it varies,” she said. “Me and my husband got to hear the baby’s heartbeat. As soon as I heard that baby’s heartbeat I started crying, I just broke down crying because it’s just so beautiful.”

She went on to say that she has not experienced any nausea or dizziness during the first trimester. The one thing she has experienced is waking up extremely thirsty and keeps water by the bed. The result of this is frequent urination. She joked that she goes to the bathroom every two minutes.

Evvie says that she knows deep down that baby is a girl but her husband thinks it’s a boy. “I hope it’s a girl” she added. The 23-year-old The Four winner continued on for the rest of the video calling the baby a “she.” She mentioned that she has been singing and talking to the baby and hopes that because the heart has been formed at 10 weeks pregnant that the baby can hear her.

The Couple Announced The Pregnancy In The Most Adorable Way

“First comes LOVE then comes MARRIAGE then comes the baby in the baby carriage,” Evvie wrote on Instagram after announcing the pregnancy news just after Christmas. The couple held up their sonogram to the camera and shared a kiss in front of the Christmas tree. On display was Evvie’s gorgeous diamond sparkler. In a previous Instagram post, Evvie wrote that she “prayed for a man” like Everett since she was a little girl.

The couple shared the cutest snap of Winter holding up the sonogram picture with a huge smile on her face.

Evvie and Everett also sat down for a YouTube video to make their pregnancy announcement. He called the pregnancy a whole “different level of love.”
