‘The Four’ Champ Evvie McKinney Sings On Digital Platform ‘Good Morning LaLaLand’
The Four’s Evvie McKinney is getting her voice out there! The songstress appeared on America’s first daily streaming live talk show Good Morning LaLaLand last Friday.
Sporting fiery orange hair and that big bright smile, McKinney proves why she is the ultimate package! The LaLaLand crew asked the southern belle what her morning routine was to which she jokingly responded, “Well first of all I go to the restroom!” Perfect icebreaker to get the interview rolling. McKinney continued, “I read my daily devotional every single morning to get my morning started off right.”
The Tennessee native sat down with the panel and gushed about all the deets of her life. “My journey as an artist began long time ago, I’m 21 right now, but I grew up in the church and that’s really where I just started to sing,” she continued, “The Four was just a prayer answered, a million times and I never knew ya know that the Lord was gonna bless me with a whole show that I was gonna be the first season winner.”
Graduating high school in 2015 McKinney set her sites on the big stage, unlike many of her peers that went off to college. McKinney has such an amazing old soul, you feel like you’ve known her for years! We’ve all heard that things don’t happen over night, but McKinney shared, “The Four really just switched everything for me it was like my whole life flipped from down to up within a day.” McKinney does reveal that she had to hustle to get to that spot, trying out for American Idol and The Voice MULTIPLE times. According to McKinney persistence is key.
Faith is the guiding light for this superstar, we’re ready for that album girl!
