The Evolution of David Walliams’s ‘BGT’ Stripdowns
We’re only one episode into Britain’s Got Talent Series 13, but longtime judge David Walliams is proving he’s right back in the swing of things. He’s already partaken in one of his longstanding BGT traditions: stripping !
While we’ve never gotten a full stripdown from Walliams on the show, (this is still family-friendly television, after all,) we have seen some pretty iconic moments come out of these antics. So without further adieu, here are some of the most memorable ones!
1. David Walliams Learns Booty Shaking
After watching a dance trio shake their stuff during auditions, David told them he’d love to learn their skills. The ladies took him up on that offer and had him shaking around onstage! While this televised clip doesn’t actually contain any removal of clothing, it proved to be just a preview of what we’d see from David in the years to come…
2. Simon Cowell Traumatized By David Walliams Pants Drop
During auditions a few years later, a rousing rendition of the musical theatre classic “Don’t Rain on My Parade” had the judges (save for Simon Cowell, of course) jumping around on the table in joy. But David took it one step further and straight-up dropped his pants. This was actually the final audition of that year, so I guess David really wanted to end the round with a bang!
3. David Wallians Fully Exposes His Butt!
One thing to remember about ITV is that it does allow nudity. I know I’ve watched plenty of naked British ITV shows. HOWEVER, BGT is supposedly a family show. So, when David dropped his pants and showed his bare butt with a fake tattoo of him and Simon on each butt cheek, it caused a bit of a stir in jolly ‘ol England. I mean, it’s hilarious, but still. No kid should have to see David Walliams’ butt…actually, no one should.
4. Ventriliquist Makes David Walliams Strip
And now, of course, we have the scene that aired this past weekend. Ventriloquist Jimmy brought both David and Amanda Holden onstage to put masks on their faces and used different voices to create a “conversation” between the two of them. Naturally, this was a riot, peaking when Jimmy had David “say” he was going to strip, which David played along with as he left this stage. And, of course, this culminated in him dropping his pants yet again.
Will David remove any more clothing this series, or is this just a once-every-year-or-two sort of thing? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
