In 2018, the AGT judges were blown away by singer Glennis Grace’s audition. The 39-year-old performed a Whitney Houston cover, and the judges thought she sounded exactly like the late singer.

Glennis Grace Auditions For ‘AGT’
Glennis told the judges that she had an 11-year-old son named Anthony. “He would love to see me follow my dreams,” she said, adding, “Ever since I was a little kid, I knew I was made to sing for lots and lots of more people.”
Glennis went on to perform a powerhouse rendition of “Run to You” by Whitney Houston. Part of the way through her performance, the audience stood up and cheered for her. At the end, all the AGT judges stood up to applaud her.
“I feel like I’m looking at a star already,” Simon Cowell told her. Heidi Klum called her “absolutely incredible,” adding, “You do sound so much like Whitney Houston, it’s unbelievable.”
Mel B agreed, but added, “It’s almost like you sounded exactly like Whitney Houston. I want you to take Whitney Houston, embody her, but then I wanna see a bit of you.”
Who Is Singer Glennis Grace?
Glennis is a Dutch singer originally from Amsterdam. In 2005, she represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2012, she started the group Ladies of Soul with four other singers.
Glennis has released several albums over the years. In 2018, she released a live Whitney Houston tribute album, in which she covers songs like “I Have Nothing” and “I Will Always Love You.”
For the rest of the AGT competition, Glennis didn’t sing any more Whitney Houston songs. Instead she covered tracks like “Nothing Compares 2 U” by Sinead O’Connor, as well as “Never Enough” from The Greatest Showman. She made it to the Top 10 of Season 13.
