AGT has had some amazing danger acts on the series over the years, but a performer in that category has never won the show. This season has given us a few acts that can added to the list of most dangerous AGT acts and could actually go far in the competition, including Indian group Bir Khalsa.
As we wait to see how far this season’s danger acts go, let’s take a look at some of the most thrilling examples from past seasons of AGT, in no particular order. Between knife-throwing, swallowing objects, and juggling dangerous things, these acts had us on the edge of our seats.
Couple Alfredo and Anna Silva made it to the Semifinals of Season 11 with their suspenseful act featuring knives and crossbows. They returned for AGT: The Champions earlier this year, and earned the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum. Unfortunately, the couple revealed after the finale that they had separated. Deadly Games definitely goes down in AGT history as one of the most dagerous acts ever!
This mysterious performer made it to the Semifinals of Season 13. His performances included shooting an arrow into an apple on Heidi Klum’s head and nearly crushing Howie Mandel in a box.
Mark the Knife
Speaking of “most dangerous” acts in AGT history, let’s rewind all the way back to season 1 and meet Mark Faje. Mark described himself as “the world’s most dangerous comic” in Season 1 of AGT. His audition included catching a flaming, knife-wielding bowling ball on his head after putting a scorpion down his pants. He was eliminated in the Semifinals.
Mario & Jenny
This husband and wife showed off a “sexy and dangerous” act in Season 4, which sent them to the Semifinals. Their audition involved Mario Ferreira juggling chainsaws. “You are sexy, and you are dangerous,” David Hasselhoff told them afterward.
Ryan Stock & AmberLynn
This couple was eliminated in the Quarterfinals of Season 11, after a stunt went horribly wrong. AmberLynn shot a flaming arrow at Ryan and accidentally hit him in the neck. They returned for AGT: The Champions, and performed the same stunt. This time, they got it right.
The Professional Regurgitator
Stevie Starr finished Season 10 in fourth place with his regurgitation act. He swallowed everything from light bulbs to blades, and then brought them back up. Earlier this year, he returned for AGT: The Champions. Heidi was a huge fan, but Simon Cowell buzzed him.
This fire performer made it to the Semifinals of Season 5 with his thrilling act. He combined illusions with pyrotechnics, at one point magically escaping from a box before it was set on fire. He would also touch the fire and blow it across the stage.
This baton twirler was only 17 years old when he auditioned for the show in Season 3. He made it to the Semifinals with his act, which involved twirling a flaming baton while performing some impressive moves.
Last, but certainly not least, is Bir Khalsa. We’re actually going to see them tonight on AGT. They are a trio of Sikh performers from India and what they do is absolutely bonkers. I won’t give it away in case you want to be surprised tonight or watch the video above. I’ve seen similar performances in India but these guys are the best.
