AGT‘s Terry Crews Talks About Group Metaphysic
On Tuesday night’s new episode of AGT, the group Metaphysic used deepfake technology to make it look like Crews was singing opera alongside judges Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel. Their performance earned enough votes to move on to the Finals.
“I was watching watching this, and I was like, ‘When did I do this?'” Crews recalled, adding that he was frightened by “the power” of the technology. “It’s like having a nuclear power plant in you backyard. You can destroy everybody or you can save the world.”
Corden commented that out of the three stars featured in the video, Crews is the only one he imagines could “maybe hit those high notes.” Crews acknowledged that he could sing. But he added something funny about his voice.
“I have what I would call a deep-voice body, but I have a high voice. I just do. It’s perfect that I would be a soprano,” he said, before demonstrating a few higher notes.

The Host Is Friends with The Masked Singer‘s Ken Jeong
Did you know that Terry Crews is buddies with The Masked Singer judge Ken Jeong? Jeong was also a guest on The Late Late Show Thursday night, and the pair talked about when they first met. Corden showed a photo Crews originally shared on Twitter back in 2013.
Jeong explained that they met on a plane leaving Washington, D.C., after former President Obama’s second inauguration. He added that they “became fast friends ever since.” Crews went on to talk about how much he admires Jeong’s talent.
“Comedy is hard, and when you see someone who pulls it off so effortlessly as Ken…” Crews said, adding how excited he was to meet the actor. “It was just a kinship from the beginning. It’s a brotherhood.”
Terry Crews will return to host America’s Got Talent next Tuesday and Wednesday night on NBC. Meanwhile, The Masked Singer Season 8 will premiere September 19 on FOX.
