Tekashi 69 Is Just Out Of Prison & Back At It — Threatening Tory Lanez
Torey Lanez has been hosting Quarantine Radio sessions on Instagram Live for the past few weeks. He engages with fans in the comments, hosts twerking competitions, and speaks about upcoming music. But his Monday night show got a little more interesting when his old friend Tekashi 6ix9ine left a shocking comment.
The comment said “lemme play this new s**t or ima snitch on u. you not even from America u from Canada.” He basically hinted at having new music that he wants to release on Lanez’s show. He will snitch on Lanez if he doesn’t release it. Lanez and his crew were surprised to see his name pop up nonetheless.
Tekashi 69 Keeps Making Jokes About Being Called A Snitch
Lanez erupted with shock and laughter when he read Tekashi’s comment. It begs the question if the rapper really has new music that he wants to release on Lanez’s show. He is on house arrest so it may be possible for him to be working on some new tracks. The rapper was recently released from prison after being at a higher risk during the coronavirus outbreak because of his asthma. Since the two artists have collaborated together in the past, its safe to say that Tekashi’s comment was made in good fun.
In a 2019 interview, when Lanez was asked about making music with Tekashi again he said he didn’t know but he missed him. “As a person, he was a funny guy,” said Lanez. He preached that at the end of the day you know what you’re getting yourself into. This implied that Tekashi knew the risks of the crimes he was committing.
This isn’t the first time the rapper joked about being a snitch. He changed his Instagram profile picture to an animated version of himself. He is sitting in a mousetrap and eating a piece of cheese. His Instagram bio also read “Why everybody calling me a snitch? I’m missing something…?” He was labeled as a snitch when he specifically referenced other gang members by name in his testimony. He even alleged that they were a part of violent acts including assault and kidnapping.
The Comments On Lanez’s Instagram Live Spiked When Tekashi Left A Comment
The minute Lanez read Tekashi’s comment, fans went crazy. Comments came flooding in by the second and people could not believe that he commented let alone threatened to snitch on Lanez. But some people did not find the interaction to be amusing. One comment on a screenshot from the Quarantine Radio session said: “He affected many people’s lives and now he wants us to make light of what he did.” Another comment recognized just how much the rapper has been making jokes about being a snitch lately. It said, “He dragging the joke to the ground so y’all can’t use it.”
The rapper’s return to Instagram also featured a post with his daughter and the mother of his child, Sarah Molina. He captured the picture “Family first.” The two are no longer together but he seems willing to make amends after his stint in prison.
Be on the lookout for more comments from Tekashi on future episodes of Quarantine Radio since Lanez seemed to get a kick out of it. It was one of Lanez’s first episodes back after violating Instagram community guidelines.
