We Talk To ‘The Voice’s Pryor Baird About Music, Whiskey, And Dancing Like James Brown
I usually interview the country guys for Talent Recap. I guess it’s because I’m from Texas. We can talk about things like whiskey and chili and other crucial things. It was my honor and pleasure to talk to Pryor Baird from this season on The Voice. He’s mr. country on the show right now and on team Blake. Can he go all the way?
I was interested, as a man of a certain age myself, what it’s like to work with all of these very young singers. I mean, he could be Brynn Cartelli’s dad. Pryor is a regular guy who works in construction but his heart is in singing blues and country. He’s got a unique sound which he assures me doesn’t come from chain smoking cigars. We do discuss bourbon though because it’s the king of liquor.
Pryor is not only a hell of a nice guy but if you recall our show last Friday, Mel and I predicted he’s going to be in the top 4. I think he’s going to be the guy that Blake pushes to get to the finals. God knows he’s good enough to pull it off.
