The season 15 premiere of The Voice kicked off last night with quite the talented bunch of artists. From Sarah Grace and Radha to Patrique Fortson and Kennedy Holmes, this season is shaping up to be full of powerhouse vocalists. And this sneak peek at DeAndre Nico’s Blind Audition from tonight’s episode proves there’s more where that came from!

DeAndre Nico is a 19 year old musician from Port Arthur, Texas. Even singing Bruno Mars’ hit song “When I Was Your Man,” which has been way overdone on The Voice in the past, he was able to bring a new spin on the song. His voice really shined here! I think he has a cool quality to his voice and obviously his range and tone is insane. Did you hear those runs? He’s not messing around. DeAndre has one of those voices that can really sing anything. With the right coach and song choice, he could definitely go far!

Adam turned first after a crazy run then Jennifer was next shortly after. She yelled out “Sing, boy!” as soon as she turned. Adam started standing before Blake and Kelly even turned their chairs. But by the end of the song, all four chairs had turned. No surprises there! Adam used his typical “I turned first” stunt. Kelly talked about how his voice “makes girls go ‘okayyyy!'” Then JHud complimented his look and said she’d “stand there and let [him] stand flatfoot and sing, baby.” After calling out Blake, DeAndre said he loves him and Blake does his usual “I’ve won six times” bit!

Could there be a surprise coach choice here? I’m gonna say it’s probably between Adam and JHud but really anything could happen! We’ll find out tonight when The Voice returns for night two of Blind Auditions.
