David Archuleta has officially canceled his OK, All Right Tour. Archuleta was put on vocal rest before the first concert of the tour, which was initially postponed in the hope that he would recover. Now, he shares the news that the tour is canceled entirely to prevent “permanent damage.”

Earlier this month, Archuleta shared that his doctor placed him on vocal rest hours before his first West Hollywood, CA, concert. The singer shared the information with an apologetic Instagram video. Within the video his voice sounded weak and shaky, differing from TikTok videos from less than a week before. The illness that has come on quick has now cancelled his tour.

Originally, Archuleta postponed the first eight dates of the tour in hope that he would recover in the suggested ten day period. Now, the singer has shared that his illness will require more recovery time than originally anticipated.

“I want to be sure to heal so I can come back without having done anything that could do permanent damage,” Archuleta wrote. “I am so sorry for any inconvenience this causes, I really thought the third time was the charm.”

Archuleta Hemorrhages Vocal Cord Ahead of Tour

Within his postpone announcement, Archuleta shared that he hemorrhaged a vocal cord. The recovery time for this type of injury is typically 7 to 10 days, but it seems like the singer’s hemorrhage is pretty intense. He has not shared how much longer he’ll be on vocal rest for. Refunds will be automatically issued to all ticket holders from the point of purchase.

Archuleta was set to begin his OK, All Right tour in 2020, but the singer had to postpone multiple times due to the pandemic. Earlier this year, he shared the rescheduled dates for the tour. The concert series was supposed to begin on February 7 and conclude on March 25.

Fans recently though the singer had recovered from his vocal issue with a recent Tiktok. When a fan asked if he was cleared and could continue tour, he shared that it was a throwback video. Since his vocal chord issue he has been less active on the video sharing platform.
