Stuntman On ‘BGT’ Comes Inches From Seriously Injuring Himself [VIDEO]
Stuntman Alex Magala has conquered several ‘Got Talent’ series in his career. But he was most excited to come compete on Britain’s Got Talent because he was always a longtime fan. Watch one of the most nail-biting auditions below where he definitely gave everyone a huge scare.
Alex Magala Performed A Death-Defying Stunt On ‘BGT’
For his ‘BGT’ audition, Alex swallowed a sword and did a few backflips and already had everyone completely shook. David Walliam’s was actually screaming while watching the performance. He then took out an even bigger sword and swallowed it while climbing up a pole. Alex slid down the pole face first, with his sword coming just mere centimeters from hitting the ground. Had this trick gone wrong, Alex could have been seriously injured or worse, dead. Alesha Dixon said she was “speechless.” Amanda Holden said, “It was just one of those things you cannot bear to watch and you have to keep one eye open.” She proceeded to say that she thinks that it would be a great act to perform at the Royal Variety Show.
“It was incredible but I was really really happy when it was over,” David said laughing. “I really thought you were going to die,” Simon Cowell said. For Simon, it was an audition that he would never ever forget. Alex made it all the way to the finals where he performed another sword swallowing trick with a dangerous chainsaw beneath him. He finished ‘BGT’ in ninth place.
Where Is He Now?
After ‘BGT,’ Alex continued his talent competition streak. In 2016, Alex went on to compete on Slovakia’s Got Talent where he made it to the semi-finals. He then went on America’s Got Talent: The Champions but was eliminated in the preliminary round in 2019. He also reached the semi-finals on the World’s Got Talent special held in China that same year.
Alex then went on to compete on Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions and performed a sword-swallowing act that involved help from the judges. Simon said he is “one of the best ‘Got Talent’ contestants, of all time.” Though he did not win the competition, he definitely made his mark and will always be remembered as a champion. He actually told us this was his favorite show to compete on so far, along with Georgia’s Got Talent. “I just got aired in a new season of Georgia’s Got Talent. That one is very cool because I slide down with one leg only” he told us exclusively.
Alex continues to post some crazy stunts and workouts on Instagram. He recently took on Mantis Yoga where he hung from the ceiling by his chin. Alex is keeping himself busy during the coronavirus pandemic. “During the pandemic, I don’t stop training and preparing for the next wave of shows,” he said. “Building my costumes and getting a new sword, going to the beach and practicing splits.” This guy really can do it all.
He trains in Jiu Jitsu and is always practicing and flexing some incredible skills.
Did we mention that the guy has some extremely solid rock hard abs? They’re hard to miss as he shows them off in almost every single photo. But, we’re not complaining. His hard work and training is definitely paying off.
Do you agree with Simon saying that Alex his one of the best ‘Got Talent’ acts of all time?
