Street Dancer Has ‘Denmark’s Got Talent’ Judges Up On Their Feet With This Fun Routine
Nicklas Milling, otherwise known as Nicklas The Nerd auditioned for Denmark’s Got Talent in 2008 and nobody knew what to expect. Once he started dancing, it was clear that the judges absolutely loved him and the audience did too. Check out his hip-hop audition below.
Nicklas The Nerd Took Street Dancing To A New Level On ‘Denmark’s Got Talent’
The Denmark’s Got Talent judges never expected Nicklas to be one of the best dancers they have ever seen. He came out onto the stage a little timid, but once the music started his real personality shined through. His routine was the perfect balance of hard-hitting moves and fun comedic moments. Not to mention the fact that he had an awesome music mix to dance to.
Nicklas’s moves were very fast and precise. He did a combination of popping, locking and krumping before dropping down into a split midway through the routine. The judges stood on their feet clapping along to the song as Nicklas continued to dominate the stage. He finished the routine with an incredibly sassy walk across the stage and a little bit of twerking. It was no surprise when he made it to the live shows.
One thing that really set his routines apart from the others during the live shows was the fact that he always had several costume changes. He would wear an outfit and then in the blink of an eye, he would rip off that outfit and be wearing a completely new one. Though he did not win the competition, he certainly made his mark on the stage and never failed to impress the judges as Nicklas The Nerd.
Where Is He Now?
Nicklas has continued on to pursue dance as a career after competing on Denmark’s Got Talent. He created a YouTube channel where he posts all of his own original choreography and freestyles to some of the most iconic songs. “I’ve lived in London the last four years, done a few jobs, but most of what I do is teaching in and out of the country, which I love so much, and I’ve been to about 25 countries so far, and I’m very proud of that!” he told Talent Recap exclusively. “My style has changed a lot, and obviously I’ve gotten a lot better, so it’s still the same old me, just better and more choreographed.”
Seriously he has some awesome moves and people in the comments on both his YouTube and Instagram love his choreography. “Mannnnn I could watch you all day” wrote one person on Instagram. “Just so dope!” another person wrote.
In 2017, Nicklas performed in the World of Dance Denmark qualifier round. His style and moves have only gotten better since his time on Denmark’s Got Talent which we did not even know was possible. “I was there and saw it live!! Let me tell you, everyone in the audience stood up and applauded at least five times during this performance ahahah he is amazing!” one person commented on the video.
Nicklas also works as an instructor and holds many workshops for those that admire his insane dancing skills. “The pandemic was great to me. Sure, I’ve gone through the same as everyone else, but I spent a lot of time on myself and the consistency of going in on a goal and such” he told us. “Other than that I’ve just enjoyed myself and taught private classes online.”
It doesn’t seem like he still calls himself Nicklas The Nerd, but that persona will always be remembered by fans of his audition. What did you think of his Denmark’s Got Talent audition?
