The season finale of The Voice is tonight on NBC! And, while the important thing is finding out the winner, each finalist will perform a duet with a famous artist! First, Rose Short from Team Gwen will perform with Yolanda Adams. Then, Ricky Duran from Team Blake will perform with Gary Clark Jr. Jake Hoot from Team Kelly will perform with Little Big Town. Lastly, and most surprising, Katie Kadan from Team John will perform with American Idol finalist Adam Lambert!
Adam was the runner-up on season eight of American Idol, controversially losing to Kris Allen. Wildly considered the favorite to win, many were shocked by his loss. However, no one can deny that Adam Lambert has been extremely successful since his days on Idol!
Adam Lambert Since American Idol
After his stint on Idol, Adam signed with 19 Entertainment, releasing his debut item “For Your Entertainment,” in 2009, which debuted at number three on the Billboard 200. The album was certified gold in the US, and even went platinum in Australia. He later released two more albums, “Trespassing” in 2012 and “The Original High” in 2015.
In addition to his amazing album sales, Adam has done a fair share of TV appearances! He’s appeared as a guest judge on competition shows like RuPaul’s Drag Race and Project Runway, played Eddie in The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Fox, and even made a small cameo in Bohemian Rhapsody! His most well-known TV appearance was his time on Glee, where he played Elliot “Starchild” Gilbert for five episodes.
Lately, he’s been performing with Queen as Queen + Adam Lambert, and has become the de-fact lead vocalist for the band. Check out their performance at the Global Citizen Festival here!
As exciting as Adam Lambert’s appearance on The Voice is, he isn’t the only singer appearing tonight! Dua Lipa, the Black Eyed Peas, Luke Combs, Lady Antebellum, former coach Jennifer Hudson, and last season’s winner Maelyn Jarmon are all set to appear! And of course, the winner will be announced as well! Watch The Voice finale tonight at 8/7 Central on NBC!
