Sneak Peek: See Why This ‘AGT’ Act Made The Judges Squirm

There are a lot of weird and wonderful acts on America’s Got Talent. Some make you stand up an applaud and others make you cringe. This act, however, makes the judges shudder not because it’s bad but because it involves a rat crawling all over a lady in spandex.
Melissa Arleth is an acrobat of sorts and she works with animals. Unlike other animal acts we’ve seen on the show over the years that involve dogs or cats, Melissa uses rats. These aren’t some cute and cuddly Ratatouille type rats voiced by Patton Oswald. No, these are more like the rat I saw on the subway tracks yesterday eating what was either a hot dog or a severed human finger. Melissa sets up a kind of obstacle course in which she is a part. At one point the rat uses her legs as a bridge to get from one part of the course to the other making Julianne lose it.
It is a common and widely held belief that rats are disgusting, disease carrying vermin. While I am a great animal lover myself, I have to agree. I can’t see this act going very far in the competition. If indeed it made it out of this round. America isn’t going to vote for some bendy lady with rats crawling all over her. Maybe that flies in Eastern Europe or something but not here.
