Marta Gałuszewska performed Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire” for her Blind Audition on The Voice of Poland. She was a pleasant surprise to all of the coaches, especially when she hit some very high notes during the performance. Check out her rendition of the song below that led all of the coaches to turn their chairs in 2017.
Marta Gałuszewska Blew The Coaches Away On ‘The Voice Of Poland’
Marta started off the performance flaunting her very soft tone which the coaches seemed to love. Once she got to the chorus she hit some incredibly high notes that made the audience go wild with applause. Her spunky pink hair and personality was yet another thing that elevated the performance and made it feel like we were watching a rockstar up on that stage.
Finally, after her voice reached new heights, all four of the coaches hit their buttons at the exact same time. Just 23 years old at the time, it felt like Marta had been in the music industry for years. Marta was so shocked to see that all of the coaches turned around and knew that she had a very big decision to make. She ended up choosing to be on Team Michał Szpak.
She Went On To Win The Show
During The Battle Rounds, Marta went up against Dominika Chmielińska singing “Bad Romance.” She was declared the winner of the Battle and went on to The Knockouts and eventually the Live Shows. Marta made it to the finale where she stunned everyone with her cover of “Jolene.” She was declared the winner of season eight of The Voice of Poland. This marked the first win for Michał in his coaching debut.
Where Is Marta Gałuszewska Now?
After winning The Voice of Poland, Marta was reportedly involved in a car accident with her friend Hubert that led to the cancellation of a concert. “Beloved, you have moved me incredibly, thank you for the great support of you! We were incredibly lucky with Hubert despite the bad weather” she wrote on social media at the time.
She also released a single called “Nie Mów Mi Nie.” The music video for the song now has nearly 25 million views on YouTube. The song was such a success that she eventually went on to participate in the Polish selection round for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2018. She ended up coming in fifth place in the competition.
Recently, Marta looked back on the past three years after winning The Voice of Poland. She now goes by the name MVRT. “From winning The Voice to the first platinum single, first EP, several music videos, concerts, TV appearances, radio interviews, studio sessions, photography, collaborations and another TV show, to a musical rebirth as MVRT,” she wrote on Instagram. “But also from better and worse moments, through crisis moments, to the damn pandemic that made being (among others) an artist a challenge.”
