Adele has been opening up about some of her favorite quarantine activities including watching television shows and movies. She had nothing but rave reviews for the HBO series “I May Destroy You” so much so that it may have had the singer running to the bathroom after laughing so hard. Plus, is a new album in the near future for the record selling singer? She answered her fans burning questions about new music in the comments on her Instagram post.
Adele Loves The Show ‘I May Destroy You’
In a lengthy Instagram post dedicated to “I May Destroy You,” the singer got real about the feelings this show evoked for her. She called it “the best thing I’ve seen on British TV for yeaaaarssss!! The show is a combination of comedy and drama that follows the story of Arabella Essiedu played by Michaela Coel, a writer that has her drink spiked during a night out with friends. She then tries to remember what happened that night since it’s all a blur. “It’s wholesome, uncomfortable, hilarious but terribly sad and then awkward…and then it makes you cough a bit for no reason and also makes you go put the kettle on, for no reason,” Adele said.
And, Adele wasn’t done giving the show her praise. “You might pretend you need a pee and then you get a bit itchy, then it makes you ask your girls things you haven’t before,” she said. “And then makes you want to run out in the street and laugh so hard like mad til you cry for absolute hours! I’ve never felt so many emotions at once! Absolutely fantastic.” She also gave a special shoutout to Michaela for her convincing performance. If Adele likes a show, then the show is definitely good because we trust her opinion.
The Singer Also Watched One of Her Own Concerts In Quarantine
In another Instagram post, the singer posed with a miniature personal fan to cool herself off as she watched her own 2016 Glastonbury performance since the show was canceled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. When she’s not watching “I May Destroy You,” she’s watching her own performances. You have to love her. The star even put on the same Chloé dress she wore for the performance on her slimmer figure. This prompted several fans to ask her down in the comments if she was planning on releasing another album any time soon. But, she explained that because the coronavirus pandemic is still ongoing, she will remain in quarantine. Can she really blame us for wanting some more iconic music from her though? The last time the 15 time Grammy winner put an album was in 2015 with the album “25.”
Adele made her quarantine a little more exciting putting on her face dress that designers say took over 200 hours to complete the beading.
What have you guys been doing during quarantine to keep busy and have any of you watched “I May Destroy You?”
