Simon Signs Amanda Holden For 20 YEARS After Firing Julianne Hough and Gabrielle Union
Is Amanda on an extended 20 year contract on BGT?
Simon Cowell joined judge Amanda Holden on Heart Radio to discuss X Factor: The Band and Britain’s Got Talent. During the interview, Amanda gave Simon a written contract (we presume by her!) stating she’d officially see another 20 years on the show.
Simon quickly responded’: “Actually, I’m happy to sign that”, fuelling mass excitement among both Amanda Holden and her co host. Cowell also added to the contract in capitals, ‘with a massive pay cut’. Classic Cowell.
Simon on One Direction reunion
The next topic of discussion on the morning radio show was the possible reunion of X Factor boyband, One Direction. Cowell said that he thinks the superstar boy group will eventually reunite, despite all their solo success. Here’s what the TV judge had to say:
“They had a lot of hits. They could do tour after tour. You know you could sell out a One Direction gig, a stadium tour in about 20 seconds. So, yeah, I would say within 5 years”Simon Cowell on Heart Radio
So there it is, the very man that put them together predicts a reunion within 5 years. Seems promising but we’ll have to see! Simon finished the interview by giving some background info into X Factor: The Band, a brand new spin off show airing throughout this week.
