While still on the mend from his electric bike accident that left him with a broken back, Simon Cowell’s brother Tony Cowell is poking fun at the mogul. He posted a savage tweet about the America’s Got Talent judge that you absolutely need to see. Check it out below.

Simon Cowell’s Brother Tony Cowell Has Something To Say About The Bike Accident

Tony, a journalist, tweeted the ultimate dig at his brother during a trip to Greece. “A bike. A normal bike. Much safer than electric bike. #Greece” he captioned a photo of a bike. After undergoing a six-hour back surgery and having a metal rod placed in his back, Simon is already up and moving with the help of physical therapy. While it may seem like Tony is mocking Simon for the accident that could’ve left him paralyzed or dead, Simon poked fun at himself. When news first broke of his injury in early August, Simon posted “Some good advice… If you buy an electric trail bike, read the manual before you ride it for the first time.”

Previously, Simon and Tony were seen out together in November 2019 for a rare outing at the Together For Short Lives Winter Ball in London. Tony, 69, and Simon, 60, are definitely not strangers to being cheeky with each other. Tony even co-wrote Simon’s autobiography “I Don’t Mean to be Rude, But…” and has reported on Simon’s shows The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent for Heart London and GMG Radio stations. Tony said that he was Simon’s idol growing up and influenced a bit of his interest in becoming a music mogul when he bought a Beatles record at an early age.

Simon Continues To Eye A Return To Television

America’s Got Talent is heading into its live semifinals and Britain’s Got Talent has just begun its highly anticipated live shows. With the coronavirus pandemic already throwing a wrench in these plans, Simon’s accident and absence from the show was another hurdle to get over. Both shows have continued on without him, with Ashley Banjo filling in for Simon on Britain’s Got Talent. Kelly Clarkson and Keenan Thompson filled in for Simon on America’s Got Talent for the first two weeks of live shows before it was announced that the show would just continue on with the three judges, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara.

Simon was reportedly eyeing a return to America’s Got Talent on September 24 but nothing has been confirmed. He also will likely not make a physical appearance on Britain’s Got Talent, but may make a virtual appearance in October when the show nears its finale. He is currently recovering in his Malibu home with longtime partner Lauren Silverman and six-year-old son Eric by his side.
