Simon Cowell STOPS Underwater Escape Act After Contestant Nearly DROWNS on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’

Tonight’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ episode saw Simon Cowell signaling an end to producers after an underwater escape act was on the verge of going very wrong. The escapist was visibly struggling to open the last padlock whilst trapped in a box of water, with medics gearing up to intervene. Read on to find out what happened next!

Britain’s Got Talent returned tonight with another set of fantastic auditions. One performance that stunned the judges and all of us at home was an underwater escape act that left Cowell with no choice but to attempt to halt it before things turned south.
Escape artist, Christian Wedoy took to the stage at Manchester’s Lowry Theatre, giving the judges a good scare with an intense underwater escape act. Wedoy first submerged himself in water before using a key to unlock the padlocks which held his hands, waist and neck in a fixed position.

Above the contestant, on the screen, a timer was presented, giving an accurate indication of how long Christian had been in the box. Moments later, tension heightened in the theatre as the four-minute mark was surpassed and Christian still attempting to unlock the last padlock. It was at this point that Simon Cowell signalled to producers and medics to stop the act before any fatality.

Fortunately, just seconds later, Christian unlocked the padlock, releasing himself from the box.
The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judges go head to head in a race around the theatre during auditions!
